A little better then last week. Should have score better, but sometimes you get the breaks, and sometimes you don't.
Game 1: Bowled well, but didn't score as well as I should have. Started off with a triple, 9/, double, but then threw two splits, and one of those was in the 10th, so it killed a good game. Ended up shooting a 198.
Game 2: I decided that I needed to be more agressive on the lanes. For the second time I started with a triple, 9/, then I threw the next 4. Didn't quite get the finish I was hoping for. Ended up shooting a 246.
Game 3: Started off with the first 4, but then threw a split in the 5th. That is when the lanes really changed up. Everyone was struggling now. I made numerous adjustments in the last five frames. Left a solid 9 pin on my second shot in the 11th and finished with a 214. I was the only 200 game on the pair, but I really had to fight for it.
Series : 658. Each week has been gotten better, so I can't complain
Not to bad. My back was feeling pretty good. Just a little tight, but no other pain at all.
Game:1 Not quite what I wanted out if it, but it wasn't to bad. I had to re-adjust my spare shot for the left side, so it took me a couple frames to get it lined up. Struck out in the 10th to end with a 196. 2 splits really hurt.
Game:2 Better. Started strong, but threw a split in the 5th. I got the ball to far inside. Had a strong finish after that and finished with a 241.
Game:3 Started of well but lost my concentration in the middle frames. I chopped off 2 spares in three frames, then got going again. threw a double/9 count in the 10th to finish with a 202. Three opens in the third game really kept my score down.
Series: 639..All in all, not bad. Could have been better. The good news is that I felt good throwing the ball tonight.
Well, not as good as I was hoping for. First time bowling in three weeks. Had no problems with my arm, so the rest period did me well. The only problem now is that I pulled my back, and during the first game last night I stuck and it agrivated it, so I couldn't be as agressive as I usually am.
Game 1: Not bad. Started of with a greek church (ouch) then went clean the rest of the game for a 210.
Game 2: Had a decent start but in the middle frames, I left 3 splits in 5 frames and ended with a 167.
Game 3: I was doing ok, but was real aware of how my back felt, so I wasn't throwing my normal shot. Had 1 split in the 5th and was clean the rest of the game for a 213.
Series: 590..Not great, but ok for the way I was feeling. Still, with the exception of the splits, I was clean the entire night.
Well, I bowled in a no-tap tourny over the weekend. It is only my second year for doing it, but I know a lot of people there, and it's a lot of fun. Everyone was benefitting from the no-tap format, but yours truely (that would be me). Out of 6 games, I only had 7 no-taps for the tournament. Two of those games were all natural. In the first set (team event) I shot a 786. Game 1 I had a 286 with 2 no-taps. Would still have shot a 250 game without them. The second game, I shot a 263 (natural). Game 3 was a 237 with 2 no-taps. would have shot 215 with out them. At this point I was wishing this was a scratch tournament. Still would have shot a 700.
Second set (doubles). Game 1, I was doing ok. Shot a 224 (again all natural). Off to game 2. Then,I lost it. It was like I had a short circuit or something. The timing went away completely, and I was fighting against myself to get back in sync. Could only manage a 188 with 2 no-taps in there. Not good. I was lost. Made a ball and line change. Game 3, was a little better. I really had to kill the shot, and it took my three frames to get lined up. Ended the game with a 217 with only 1 no-tap in there. Shot a whopping 629. I was very disappointed. I let my partner down big time.
Now, I need to get in a few practice rounds before I go to States in June.
Had a really good night going, but messed it up in the third with a few mental mistakes.
Game 1: Good game. I was hitting well , but in the 8th I left an open. Dropped the spare shot. Still had a good game and finished with a 232. Wish I could have gotten the 8th frame back.
Game 2: Another good game. Mirrored the first game through 6. The front 5 and then a 4 pin leave. Threw (4 )- 9 spares in a row. clean game though. Finished with another 232 .
game 3 : I was off and running. The 700 was looking really good; until. Left a 7 pin on a good pocket hit in the 6th, then preceded to miss the spare shot. The ball hooked off the lane. In the 8th, left another 7. Made a 2 board adjustmennt, and the ball never crossed tha center of the lane. I couldn't believe it. Then in the 9th, I left a solid 10, and missed that as well. OUCH!!! I am usually deadly on spares, but that really hurt. Ended with a 202. Had a chance at the triple, the the opens cost me dearly.
Series : 232, 232, 202 for a 668. Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda, been better, but I made some mistakes and paid for them.
Well, it's off to a no tap tourney this weekend and then it is getting ready for the states in June.
