    Tuesday Night

Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 06:32 PM EST [General]

From an overall standpoint, this was my best night so far on Tuesday. I finally got something working. The only down turn was that in the second game, I lost the shot as the backend really started snapping. I kept talking about changing balls and going more direct, but in my stubborness thought I could get through it. As a result, I faltered for 5 frames before making the change. After I finally decided to change, I was a lot better for the rest of the night. I waited to long to make the move or it would have been a much better night.

    I had games of 234 - 194 - 231 for a 659 series.

    Week of 10/26 thru 11/01

Sunday, November 2, 2008, 01:04 PM EST [General]

Haven't been on much lately, just busy with other things. This is a brief  rundown of how the week went for me bowling this week.

Tuesday was a frustrating night. I started out well and it was all downhill from there, with games of 262-195-179 for a 634 series.

Wednesday night I subbed and shot games of 245-229-226 for a 700 series.

Thursday night I was extremely tired because of the Phillies World Series Victory, Didn't get to sleep til 3am, (but that is no excuse), and as a result I had games of 181-219-215 for a 615 series. Hopefully this week will be better on Tuesday and Thursday.

    Thursday Night 10/23

Friday, October 24, 2008, 12:19 PM EST [General]

Tonight ended up being a decent night, but it was not without share of ups and downs. The lanes were in constant flux. You had to keep making adjustments to keep up with the lanes and by the third game they were pretty tough to figure out. Not many people scored well in the third.

Game 1: 199 - Had 1 open, but I had trouble with carry and had to rely on spares.

Game 2: 258 - Made an adjustment and was able to find a pretty decent shot. Every shot was in the pocket, but I had 2 stingers. A solid 9 and solid 7. The 7 pin came in the first shot in the 10th.

Game 3: 205 - This was a tough one. I had 1 open and I left a few stingers but came through in the 10th to squeeze out a win by 6 pins. I was the only 200 game on the pair.

Series: 662 - A good series despite the rollercoaster ride. It was the second time in 2 nights that I threw the last three in the 3rd game to eek out a win. That felt good as this was our first knockdown. We won 2 out of 3 points and are now a game and a half in first. My average is up to 218. Just wish I could get Tuesday going. Until next week, keep up the good bowling everyone.

    Tuesday night

Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:12 PM EST [General]

Tonight turned out to be an ok night. Not the best by any means, as I still seem to struggle the most on Tuesdays more than any other night. and I still can't figure out why. That being said.

Game 1: 197 - Started with the first three and thought I was in for a good night. Then it all went to the dogs. I had one open, but only had 1 more strike after the third frame.

Game 2: 199 -  Still struggled. I kept changing my shot looking for anything I could strike with, but just couldn't find it. I needed a 9 count on the last ball for a deuce, but threw an 8.

Game 3: - 225 - I finally started to hit something in this game. It was going pretty well until the 9th when I left a 3-6-10, and chopped it. Only my second miss of the night. In the 10th I was the last one from either team to bowl. I threw three of the best shots I had all night to stike out and we ended up winning the game by 1 stick. Whew! no pressure right.

Series 621: I keep chipping away at it. Sooner or later I will get it back. It felt good to leave, knowing I pulled one out for the team. Maybe next Tuesday I won't let the bad breaks play with my head so much and I bowl with more confidence. Until then.
