PBA Expierence, week 2- Viper Pattern

Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 10:44 PM EST [General]

Week 2 of the Viper Pattern was better for me than week 1 was. On Thursday, I bowled in an adult - jr. league with my daughter. I tried a different set up, to try to increase my ball speed. I found something that worked, so I tried it tonight on the Viper. At first it was a struggle, but I hung in there and kept making adjustments. I definately found something to work with.

Game 1 : 160 - Not the greatest game, but I kept adjusting throughout and finally hit on a shot in the 10th. The only bad thing was that I missed a 10 pin in the 8th frame and it cost me the game. (by 3 pins)

Game 2 : 245 - Started with the first 5 then 9/ and the next 3. Pushed the ball to wide in the 10th. I was thinking 279, but I got ahead of myself and the Viper bit me.

    Switched Lanes

Game 3 : 216 - A good game, but had 2 open frames. by the 8th the lanes were starting to go away

Game 4 : 173 - Started this game with 2 opens then threw the next three. That is when the lanes really went away. I was still hanging on but in the 10th, I threw a split on the first ball, and that killed my chance of getting another 200 game.

Averaged 198 for the night. Missed averaging 200 by 6 pins. I was very happy with what I found tonight. Looking forward to next week, now that I have a good starting point. One more week on the Viper. Hope I can have a strong finish before we change to the Chameleon

good job. i played on the cheetah pattern again this past friday subbing in a jr. adult sport league in san jose and did ok. shot games of 213, 185, 145, 173. then practiced and shot 198, 224, 225. had to just trust my instincts and move way in and swing it a lot
